- Tour Florence with a guide
- Visit the Uffizi and stare at the masterpieces - really, do!
- Get a rental car, navigate with maps, travel book and from memory only and be very proud every time you make it back to the villa at the end of the dirt road
- Eat antipasti and gelato every day
Don't:
- Underestimate Lemoncello
- Be afraid to speak Italian - even if the locals insist on answering you in English
- Shush the Museum-Shusher
- Forget to wear sun screen
- Over-fertilize your plants before your trip
