Do:

• Rent a villa at the end of a dirt road with 10 funny and smart people
• Unplug
• Try Trippa alla Fiorentina and Bistecca Fiorentina - you'll very likely enjoy at least one of them
• Tour Florence with a guide
• Visit the Uffizi and stare at the masterpieces - really, do!
• Get a rental car, navigate with maps, travel book and from memory only and be very proud every time you make it back to the villa at the end of the dirt road
• Eat antipasti and gelato every day

Don't:

• Underestimate Lemoncello
• Be afraid to speak Italian - even if the locals insist on answering you in English
  
• Shush the Museum-Shusher
• Forget to wear sun screen
• Over-fertilize your plants before your trip
• Expect the bread to be salted
• Eat any pasta dish with a knife

Mini Portrait Sessions for Mother's Day

90s Prom Sneak Peak

Last Saturday I did a photo booth at this year's Civil and Environmental Engineering Department’s spring social. It was held at the Hearst Mining Building on campus and the theme was “90’s Prom”. Think Grunge and Flannel Shirts and 90210 and Snap Bracelets and Doc Martens and Spikey Hair and The Macarena!

I think the pictures speak for themselves but let me just say people went all out in their costumes and it was a hilarious event!

Thanks to Corinne and her team, you guys did such a great job!!!

 

For those who care:


I used two umbrellas at 45 degree angle as well as a softbox at camera angle. Something to consider: the flash on people's point-and-shoots sets off the lights, maybe instead of pocket wizards use sync cables, if your photo booth is set up in close proximity to the dance floor and the life of the party.

Rachel&Jason at UC Riverside

Just over a week ago a I shot a wedding with my dear friend Shoey of Shoey Sindel Photography.
Rachel&Jason were such a pleasure to work with and their event was tons of fun! While Shoey took the girls around campus for portraits, I got to take the groomsmen and groomswoman ;-). What a fun group of friends! Check out our rendition of Reservoir Dogs!

Rachel&Jason got married right under the tree that served as their meeting point during their dating years at UC Riverside. Ahhhh, I love weddings!

Andrea's Maternity Shoot
